RELL SHINES December 6, 1999 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The entire soundtrack was tight, but track two made it complete and then some (thanks to RELL). Love for Free is HOT!
Roc-the-street July 30, 2005 Carltouis Stevenson (Angeles Mesa, Los Angeles) The soundtrack to the independent movie, Streets Is Watching, proves the reason why Roc-A-Fella was leading the pack with releases like this. As seven of the twelve tracks featured Jay-Z, he forcefully taken control of the situation. As he plants his position on "Only A Customer" the price tags have no meaning to the expensive flow. This soundtrack has the best of R&B and hip-hop/rap to be found. The upbeat tune of "Love For Free" featuring Jay-Z is laced with a simple chord of a piano that's easy to get into by Rell. Christion took it back with a 70's feel on "Pimp This Love". Jay-Z, Ja Rule & DMX teamed up as Murder Inc. for the killer "Murdergram". The love song or anti-love song, "Crazy" by Usual Suspects, sneak up for addiction. "Thugs R Us" has this roll type feel to it as DJ Clue features the lyrics of Noreaga. The closure of "Celebration (Team Roc)" ends on such a high note featuring Jay-Z, Memphis Bleek, Sauce Money & Wais on this more of an introduction to what's to come.
Good Album September 27, 2007 WhtDaddy (Detroit) For a soundtrack this is a pretty good album. It features a few different artists from Roc-a-Fella records. If you're a Jay-z fan you will like this album, it has a couple tracks that weren't released on anyother album.

I've had this CD in 1998 when it first came out but of course it had gotten a little beat up and was very hard to find another one. Now that I have it again I'm really souped up! I've loved this CD since then and I still love it. I love it for it's versatility and unique style. The way rocafella records brought together "Hardcore" R&B Singers to not so "Hardcore" R&B singers with rappers as raw & ruff as M.O.P. to not so raw like N.O.R.E. all the way to Pain In Da A-- and his remarks. Oh, and the interludes are THE FUNNIEST!
