Worst Wayne CD on record. February 10, 2010 J. Adams (Bloomington, MN United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Absurdly miserable auditory experience. Horrid, schmaltzy guitar riffs with poor production value. Slopped together songs with little to no binding thread. Terrible song crafting and even worse execution. And the worst thing, the very worst thing, is the one thing Wayne has - the one skill - rhyming: non-existent! His rhymes on this album are completely absurd! A 10-year-old Lil' Bow Wow brought more to the table. Yikes, this one will never get a repeat spin. Worse than Chris Cornell's hip hop album.
Awful February 24, 2010 J. Caruso 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My 1st review ever. Many have touched on the details, so I'll just summarize by saying it's the worst CD I have listened to. Complete garbage. Pretty upset I got excited for its release!
An epic failure February 25, 2010 J. Coufal 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
He mentioned Andre 3000 so much in his last album that he thought he could become him. This is quite possibly the worst "change of pace" album from an established mainstream artist in the history of music. Seriously, it's that bad. The singing isn't singing, the lyrics aren't lyrical, and the production can barely be considered a product. Wayne essentially uses a bunch of half-baked cliches to form his idea of what rock is and then goes on to destroys every shred of musical credibility media outlets bestowed upon him after overwhelmingly successful "Carter 3". Rap-star? Of course. Rock-star? Learn to play the guitar and sing on key first.
One Word: Terrible! March 5, 2010 Patt 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm so glad I listened to samples on here. This is one of the worse things I've heard. It's just plain bad and all I've listened to were samples of a few tracks. They do not make me want to listen anymore, let alone buy it. I was curious on whether this album was any good, it's not. It's really a sad attempt of a rapper trying his hand at rock, unfortunately. It would be like if Metallica cut a rap album. Some people can do it, Lil Wayne isn't one of them. Leave this to the professionals, rappers like Cypress Hill who can cross over with ease. I tried but I can't stomach it. It feels so recycled.
Was wondering why a Lil' Wayne MP3 Download was $5! March 25, 2010 D. Holliday (ATL) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am not sure if he is trying to do the Jay-Z/Linkin Park thing (which I did like), but maybe every rapper can't be a rockstar. Maybe he was just trying to drop something before he went to jail for a stint. Whichever...it is not working. I knew something was suspect when this MP3 was only $5...says a lot about a NEW album!
